24 years of rainfall — analysis & prediction

Processed and analysed 24 years (2001–2024) of daily rainfall data from multiple locations, and forecast long-term trends.

The problem

Raw rainfall records spread across locations and years are hard to compare or reason about without a consistent pipeline.

The approach

  1. 1Built automated data pipelines with intelligent column detection to handle inconsistent source files.
  2. 2Applied linear regression to model rainfall trends over time.
  3. 3Produced visualisations comparing locations and seasons.

Outcome

  • 24 years of daily data unified into one analysable dataset
